About me

Craniosacral Therapist & Osteopath

Helping adults and children restore balance, reduce pain and symptoms, and regulate the nervous system

A holistic approach to health and wellbeing

Welcome! My name is Lena Steinberg-Shyroka

I am a physiotherapist (MSc), trained osteopath, and craniosacral therapist with a background in body-oriented psychology. My education spans Ukraine, Europe, and Switzerland, including advanced training in craniosacral and biodynamic approaches.

Over more than 20 years of study and clinical practice, I have developed an integrative therapeutic framework — NeuroFusion — combining medical, manual, and somatic approaches to support physical and emotional regulation.

My path into this work began early in life. By the age of eleven, I had already undergone several surgeries, which shaped my understanding that survival is not the same as living.

These experiences led me to explore not only symptoms, but the deeper mechanisms of adaptation, resilience, and self-regulation within the human body.

This inquiry developed into long-term study of physiology, biomechanics, neuroplasticity, and the nervous system.

Throughout my work, I am guided by one intention: to support the body’s innate capacity for balance, restore internal stability, and create the conditions for sustainable health and wellbeing.

PERSONAL STORY

My interest in healing began through personal experience.

My mother worked in medicine, and from early childhood I received medical and pharmaceutical care. Yet despite this, I struggled with chronic pain, structural imbalances, and autonomic dysfunctions.

My own health challenges became the starting point of a lifelong search for approaches that look beyond symptoms and consider the human being as an interconnected whole.

This journey eventually led me to osteopathy, functional medicine, and biodynamic craniosacral therapy. Here, I discovered a deeper understanding of health based on anatomy, physiology, embryological principles, fluid dynamics, and the body’s innate capacity for self-regulation and recovery.

What inspired me most was the realization that health exists within every person as a natural potential. Even in long-standing and complex conditions, there is often far more capacity for healing and change than we commonly believe.

This understanding forms the foundation of my work today.

MY APPROACH

I work with the human being as an integrated system, where structure, movement, emotions, physiology, and the nervous system continuously influence one another.

My goal is not only to reduce symptoms, but to support the restoration of internal regulation, resilience, and functional balance.

Through craniosacral therapy, osteopathic principles, and body-oriented approaches, I help clients reconnect with the body’s natural capacity for healing and adaptation.

Sessions may support:

• reducing chronic tension and overload

• regulating the nervous system

• restoring mobility and structural balance

• improving recovery and stress resilience

• enhancing body awareness and self-regulation

• reconnecting with the body’s inherent intelligence

Professional Focus

My work integrates rehabilitation sciences, manual therapy, osteopathy, biodynamic craniosacral principles, and body-oriented psychology.

This integrative approach supports structural alignment, functional balance, and nervous system regulation.

The goal is to support the body’s natural capacity for adaptation, self-regulation, and long-term resilience.

Stages of on-line therapy

Each stage is structured individually: through assessment and work with the body, breath, thoughts and emotions.

Before we begin, you provide:

1. A description of your main concern or request.

2 Photos taken against a white wall

(front, both side profiles, face, and feet) for biomechanical and somatic assessment.

3. Any available medical reports or test results.

The recovery program consists of four structured stages, described below.

1. Comprehensive Assessment and Goal Setting

During the first session, we carefully explore your history, symptoms, and current life context. Together, we define a clear and realistic therapeutic direction. You begin to work with attention as a source of energy and gain awareness of the deeper factors underlying your condition.

2. Body and Breath Work

During the Second Session through osteopathic techniques and guided work with the breath, diaphragms, spine, and feet, we release tension and restore structural symmetry. You learn practical self-care tools you can use independently, building a strong foundation for self-regulation, improved mobility, renewed vitality, and a stable sense of inner support

3. Cognitive and Emotional Integration

Third session. We work with mental patterns and emotional responses stored in the body. By releasing compensatory patterns and reducing chronic tension, we restore balance to the nervous system. Clarity, stability, and concentration naturally return.

4. Integration Session

The fourth session is dedicated to integration. We consolidate the results, refine personalized practices, and ensure that the changes are stable and sustainable. You leave with clear tools and a structured routine to maintain balance, energy, and inner resilience in everyday life.

During the process, you receive:

  • Guidance into a regulated state of the nervous system, where the body can naturally restore and heal

  • Individualised protocols based on your structural and functional needs. Regulation techniques supporting autonomic balance
  • Breath and somatic practices for nervous system recovery
  • Targeted exercises for alignment and stability
  • Support in transforming stress-related patterns
  • Sustainable strategies for physical and emotional balance

In-Person Sessions

Sessions for children and adults in Liestal (Rheinstrasse 3).

This is profound, individualized bodywork focused not only on symptoms, but on the root cause. Through gentle osteopathic and craniosacral techniques, I help the body release deep tension, restore tissue mobility, and regain structural support and balance.

When appropriate, I integrate Dry Needling, medical cupping therapy, and kinesiology taping to relieve pain more effectively and activate the body’s natural healing processes.

I also provide individualized support with Bach flower remedies, Schuessler salts, and other gentle regulatory methods to enhance and stabilize the results.

After sessions, clients often experience fewer migraines, reduced back and joint pain, a greater sense of lightness in the body, and increased inner clarity and resilience.

This is a safe and attentive therapeutic space — where the body begins to remember how to be healthy.
